Welcome to “how to build a computer from scratch for beginners” the five-minute guide. Wow, that’s a mouth full. This is the first video in a series of videos that will talk about the components you’ll need to build a desktop computer. We’ll try and stick to the 5 minutes.
First Component we will talk about would be the CPU. Now in past, we have had to answer one important question when building a computer - “What am I planning on doing with this computer?” Just within the last few years, it has become less and less important. Now there are 2 major brands in the CPU arena, Intel and AMD. In the last 10 or so years Intel has been the top dog but just in the last 3 or so years AMD has made a comeback. Again, it’s becoming less and less about the brand and just really about how much you want to spend will get you X features.

High Tier - Intel i7 / Ryzen 9 12core Highest Tier - Intel i9 / Ryzen 9 16core
